The work process and the products

Connecting all the disciplinary models together, analyzing the unified model and creating views / general sections / division into areas according to which the state of planning coordination and its integrity are analyzed in a general way. Also, weight is given to the prioritization received from the project manager or the client.

Cut the building in representative places and determine the correct arrangement for the building’s systems while adhering to the principles of execution, function and maintenance. These sections are a guideline for the system designers on how to place the systems in the design and the BIM model.

Using dedicated software for detecting collisions – Clash detection, collision analysis is performed between the systems and structural elements, between systems and required access intervals “Clearance”. The analysis is calibrated according to the level of accuracy according to the stage at which the project is. The results of the analysis are centralized, sorted according to the degree of difficulty and sent to the treating agency. Registration and follow-up of the treatment is managed and team meetings are held to verify correction.

Inconsistencies that are discovered are recorded in a list of inconsistencies, the list is also recorded in the BIM coordination system in the Issue format, which includes information about the inconsistency: time, nature of the inconsistency, who the factor needs to be addressed and location in space. In addition, concise reports regarding the state of system coordination in the project are distributed to the parties in charge of managing the project in order to promote the project planning in a high-quality and complete manner

When it is recognized that the design stabilizes and the route of the systems in the model conforms to the principle directions dictated, and most of the inconsistencies found have been addressed, the process of final coordination of the transitions required in the skeletal elements of the building can begin for the benefit of the systems. The transitions are coordinated and embedded in the construction model and thus receive the official approval and also appear in the contractor’s plans.
